How is the name ‘Beowulf’ pronounced?

The first syllable ‘be’ sounds like the word ‘bay’, and the following ‘o’ is like the ‘o’ in ‘go’, ‘so’, and ‘no’. The final syllable is pronounced like the word ‘wolf’, and the main stress is on the first syllable. The word is pronounced ‘bay-o-wolf’. This is just one way of pronouncing the name. Beowulf is the name of a well-known hero in an old English epic poem.
