‘Spiff up’

It has the same meaning as `spruced up’. When you spiff something up, you try to make it look attractive. The expression can be used with people as well.

Example: “Whenever my mother comes to know we are having guests, she really spiffs up the house.” *  “I was talking to Balu yesterday. He suggested a number of ways that I could spiff up my presentation.”
