‘Hum and haw’

When you hum and haw, you talk about something for some time, but you fail to arrive at a decision. In other words, you don’t speak your mind and fail to arrive at a decision.

Example: “When you ask Rajesh for something, he hums and haws for several hours before taking a decision”.
