‘Keep your eyes peeled”

When you keep your eyes peeled for someone or something, you remain alert or watchful. You are on the look out for the person or thing. In other words, it has the same meaning as ‘keep your eyes open’.

Here’s an example. If you are planning to cut across the field, please keep your eyes peeled for stray dogs. They can be pretty vicious.
