‘to run something by you again’

When you tell someone to run something by you again, you want him to repeat what he said. If you are in a noisy room and you don’t hear what someone has said, you can say, `Could you run that by me again’.

It is also possible to say `run that by me one more time’.

Example: What did you have to say about the movie? Could you run that by me one more time?”

  1. I think this is more like… for business situations. It is not common useage to say ‘could you run that by me one more time’ people will look at you kinda weird. Its better to say “Pardon, can you repeat what you just said.”
