Is it O.K to say, “What is your good name?”

Of course, it is! When we meet someone, this is the first question that we generally ask.

Native speakers of English do not ask an individual what his “good” or “bad” name is. They just want to know his name.

The question “What is your good name?” is actually a translation of the Hindi “Aap ka shubh naam kya hai?”
