“conscientious”

A conscientious person is someone who takes great care to do his work properly.

Here are a few examples. *The conscientious mother sterilised the bottle before giving it to the baby. *The young scholar studied conscientiously and enthusiastically.

Pronunciation: The first syllable is pronounced like the word “con”, and the following “i” is like the “i” in “bit”, “pit”, and “kit”. The “e” sounds like the “e” in “pet”, “bet”, and “get”. The “sc” and the “t” sound like the “sh” in “should”, “sheep” and “shall”. The three vowels in the final syllable are pronounced like the “a” in “china”; the main stress is on the third syllable “en”..
