“Windshield tourist”

Windshield tourist means that I never stop to take in the sights. I merely stay in the car and see everything through the windshield.”

“In other words, when you go to a new place you merely sit in your car.”

Example:  “ There is so much of windshield tourism these days that many of the shops in town are going out of business.” * “My father is like you. He never wants to visit places. Even when we went to Agra, he was just a windshield tourist.”
